The Nurples - v.3.0
This is a game that I created for my sisters two daughters. It is a very simple point & click exercise meant for helping young children become familiar with the computer mouse and how it behaves & interacts with on-screen items. This is something most people take for granted. But to a child it might be a little intimidating.
Although the game appears rather simple I put a great deal of thought into the objects and animations used throughout the game. A very young child's brain is undergoing a great deal of development and is in need of solid input. The objects in the game are essential building blocks for a young mind. I use colors, objects, numbers, symbols, vowels, and motion to engage. Even if a child does not understand the relation of the symbols etc. he/she will still be processing and using this information.
I intentionally did NOT add a scoring system. Each level can be accessed on it's own. The reason for this is that a young child should, in my opinion, be having fun and be able to explore all the levels of the game without constraint. Adding a scoring system & forced level progress would be counter productive to my goal.
I am also hoping that someone will find this game useful as a tool to help build hand eye coordination in adults suffering from conditions that affect the brain in negative ways. Such as with Alzheimer patients. It would be nice to see the other end of the spectrum benefit from this exercise as well.
Either way, it's meant to be fun.

Windows XP / Vista / win7 Only
<<< Direct DOWNLOAD here.
This roughly 4.7 mb 7z file contains both the game demo and the NFO file. The actual game is a standalone .exe file. (No installation required.) To access the NFO file from within the game press <F1> while running the game. NOTE: 7z is just like a zip file except it can compress much smaller. (The program is free.)
